Why is my laptop making noises?

That sounds like the fan. That might mean it's dusty or otherwise isn't cooling well, so try blowing the vents out with compressed air. Also, try making sure there's lots of circulation and can't pick up dust (don't leave your laptop on a fabric surface, for example).
