Can you still connect to the angelic realm if you have sinned?

3 yrs ago I had guidance and support by two angels in my energy field for a period of about a year. In this time I went through a lot of spiritual growth. However, I have since 'lost contact' with them and am curious as to why? What kind of angels were they...were they guardian or just stopping by? :) I feel it may be due to guilt that I no longer see them. Although I do not wish to go into too much detail, I do wonder if It could be to do with a choice that I made which is classed as a sin, could this be why I no longer see them? Even though I am truly remorseful and wish I could turn back time?
