Name of this classic rock song?

im not sure what this song is called, i dont really remember too much. however some of the lyrics are (or sound like) "slip n slide in an alley" "and a place to stay" " know what you could find" alot of parts sounds like duh do da umm owoo , duh do duh do owoo (when you hum) this isnt too much and im not expecting an answer but help would be helpful.
