How do i turn off CC on my tv?

I JUST installed comcast cable in my house and just recently a friend gave me his old tv so i turn the tv on to watch it and the CC was on... I looked it up on how to turn it off from the comcast cable box but that's not it the CC is on the tv itself i went to menu and found nothing with CC options and my remote doesn't have a cc button on it this is the kind of tv i have it's a Magnavox and to the side it says energy star if that helps but please someone help it drives me crazy
